Grand Opening

The Good Samaritan embodies the values of helping those in need. When a need was identified in the North-Dayton region, Good Samaritan Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation began working to fill that need.

Our donors’ generosity is what allows the needs of the Dayton community to be met and catalyzes the efforts of the Foundation to make amazing things happen.

Through the efforts and support of many, the Emergency Center opened Tuesday, November 3, 2015. The 96,000 square foot addition provides high-quality and compassionate care that has long been associated with Good Samaritan Hospital. With 22 beds, full service imaging lab and diagnostic facilities, along with a dedicated staff including board-certified emergency medicine physicians, the Emergency Center will be able to treat a wide array of injuries and ailments 24 hours a day.

As the public begins utilizing this new, life-saving service they will be welcomed by a facility that is top-of-the-line, as well as comforting. The surgical rooms and the main lobby are decorated with multiple pieces of artwork, many of which have been generously donated and sponsored through the Foundation, along with the beautiful living wall located behind the receptionist station. Gifts have also been used to provide an excellent working environment for employees including the sponsoring of the EMS suite, which will be used by the EMS crews between runs as they will be able to complete paperwork, get a snack and relax.

The call to support the Emergency Center, as well as the surrounding area has been answered. With continued support, additional improvements and updates can be made to the Emergency Center and Rehabilitation Center.
