Samaritan Health Center
Foundation funding provides about 8% of the $1.7M needed to operate the region’s only clinic dedicated exclusively to the care of the homeless. Every year, over 2,600 of the region’s homeless visit the Samaritan Homeless Clinic.
ElderCare
Whether it’s providing sensory enhancers like hearing amplifiers and magnifier sheets, or providing training to employees and family caregivers, ElderCare funds have a direct impact on the quality of life for our older patients within the hospital and the community.
Mothers Empowered
Mothers Empowered brings pregnant women together in supportive groups at a critical time in their lives. Moms receive high-quality prenatal care and parenting education through a partnership with Good Samaritan Foundation and Lifestages – Centers for Women.
Cancer Care Services
Patients are provided with educational materials and equipment to assist them in their recovery, breast cancer support group meetings, digital imaging tools for mammography, education and training for oncology staff, and emergency financial assistance for patients undergoing treatment.
The Heart Institute of Dayton
Funds support lectures, conferences and numerous tools in print and online to create a cardiac education destination that provides the latest knowledge and developments to medical professionals and the greater Dayton community.
Scholarships & Training
Due to the ever-changing needs of our patients, there is an increased need for continued education. Funds given to this cause contribute to scholarships, department training and conferences, state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and education for patients on best practices that will make their recovery a top priority.
