Donor Spotlight: Judge Patrick Foley

Pat Foley

Judge Patrick Foley has been a dedicated and integral member of the Foundation for many years. That dedication make sense, Judge Foley has a very special place in Good Samaritan Hospital’s history – he was the 10th baby born at Good Sam when it opened in 1932! He currently serves on both the Operating and Medical Committees. He retired in 2000 after serving as a Common Pleas Court Judge, a position that allowed him to see the positive impact GSH has on the community. One of the most rewarding experiences for him is getting to meet the exceptional professionals who work within the Good Samaritan Hospital Network.

“Good Samaritan Hospital is the most important entity in North Montgomery Country and adjacent counties,” says Judge Foley. He is particularly passionate about the Behavioral Clinic. “At the courts, so many persons who are charged with crime suffer from mental illness,” he adds.

He believes the work that the Foundation does to support programs like the Behavioral Clinic has made a difference in changing the lives of many members of the community. He would like to use his time at the Foundation to continue to support the community, including educating community members about disease control, disaster relief, exercise programs, and other health-related activities. He sees this mission being carried out not only through the foundation, but through the hospital as well.

We are extremely grateful to have Judge Patrick Foley on our team as he continues to “Make Amazing Things Happen” in our community!
