“In 1990, when I moved back to the Dayton area, I interviewed at several of the area hospitals. It was the mission of Good Samaritan Hospital that spoke to me and was the deciding factor in which job I accepted. I think back at 27 years with Good Sam and all the changes those years have brought. Changes in the way we deliver care, the growth in technology and advancement in care options. The changes in our city and neighborhood, and how Good Sam has remained such a steadying presence. The changes in my own life and how Good Sam has been such a part of it. The opportunity to come to work every day in a variety of jobs over the years, and to know that each one made a difference. I delivered two babies at Good Sam and watched them grow to young adults. My husband was treated for stage 4 throat cancer and survives today because of the physicians and staff at our hospital. Twenty-seven years later I still believe in our mission, and I have received the benefits of that mission.”
We truly appreciate everything Dena does to enhance the health and well-being of Good Samaritan Hospital patients and those who care for them.
