Mobile Crisis Response Team

Mobile Crisis Response Team

Make Amazing Things Happen.

Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation recently received grants for the Mobile Crisis Response Team from The Dayton Foundation and Catholic Health Initiatives. The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is composed of a mental health crisis therapist and Crisis Intervention trained Dayton Police Department officer who can effectively and appropriately intervene in a mental health and/or substance abuse crisis.

The goals of the MCRT program are to reduce drug-induced deaths and self-inflicted deaths, increase referrals to mental illness and substance abuse treatment facilities and de-escalate mental health and substance abuse crisis situations for residents of the City of Dayton. This program raises awareness of the importance of mental health services in combatting the opiate crisis in Dayton.
